Got a 5 nighter booked for end of March never been to linear any suggestions for B1 or B2? and anywhere i shouldnt set up home.

Don't set your sights on just those 2 lakes, end of March will see warmer weather and more anglers on the bank. Linear gets rammed, you might have to just fit in where ever is free.

hoping the mid week might just get me the chance of an extra choice of swim before the weekender hoards. Just prefer a bigger water and hoping that at worst i will have a bt of water in front of me.

Don't rule out Smiths/Hardwick next door. For some reason doesn't get as rammed as the other lakes but got a good head of quality fish in there

mid week is as busy, if not busier......quietest night on the complex is usually Sunday.
Hardwicks been stocked and now producing loads, and as said previously, less busy generally.
Always a good shout to call the bailiff before you go, get an idea of numbers on each lake. He usually knows when people are vacating swims as well.
Is it just you going ? Ive been before and seen groups of guys, 3-4 all looking to fish together.....near impossible at linear really.

If your not already, follow linear page on f book ( if your on f book) they update swim availability on each and every lake at 5pm each night. Great info if your thinking of a visit down there as you can measure how busy it is on a daily basis and make your mind up accordingly

Lot's of lakes get booked or partially booked too which has a knock on effect on the others. Not sure when you're going exactly but this might help.....
- Brasenose-Two: will be closed for a booking from 8am Fri 15th March until approx midday Sun 17th March.
- Brasenose-Two: pegs 1-15 will be closed from 8am Fri 22nd March until approx midday Sun 24th March.
- Brasenose-Two: will be closed for a BCAC match from 8am Fri 29th March until approx midday Sun 31st March.

It gets ridiciculously busy up there now.
Been on a fair few trips there over the years and last year for some reason it just seems to be rammed pretty much all the time.
Having said all that. It's still a great place to fish. I fish on my own and so can usually find a spot to squeeze in.
There seems to be a lot more groups these days of three and four people walking around trying to get swims next to each other. These are the guys who are mostly disappointed as they don't stand much of a chance.

I've not been up there for about a year, but noticed the same the year before. Every winter seems to get busier than the last and it's been that way for about 4 years.
Sunday is by far the least busy day and by midday you should have a fairly good choice of swim.

iv not long moved to wiltshire so am still a loner with no friends so i will be doing a solo trip, il keep an eye on the facbook page and cheers for the dates on aswell about B2.
Il rock up early have a few hours scope over B1 B2 iv just got it in myhead i want to fish one of them over the others and see whats happening on the day. Am i right in thinking B2 is bit more featurey and has a few more snags and B1 is kinda flatish throughout?

I did that for a day session on B1 a couple years ago. Looked great for a zig bite then at lunchtime a massive front rolled in a couple of days ahead of the forecast. That afternoon it looked bang on for a hit over bait. Maker dropped into the swim as I was packing up and had one of biggest hits he'd had on B1 at the time at about 60 yards out. Always bring bait now

I'm fishing b2 next week..
We have it booked for the weekend, I know nothing about the best swims etc, but we will have a walk around before the draw..
Any tips are welcome please.. :0)
