Does anyone have one of these? If so are they worth the money?

I've been into BBQing for about 5 years now we'll on a regular basis, I bought the Nash BBQ for £25 and it's superb. I've more recently got into smoking my meats with various woods, along with Jacket potatoes and kale and Garvey totally awesome on the bank and regularly cook for two or so pals.
Had the cobb for years, great and use it every year abroad. Roast chicken, meat joints to pizzas. Also roast potatoes, wedges, veg etc..... So so much can be cooked

What coals do you use? I've read that alot use Australian heat beads rather than the ones available from cobb.

Coals are coals the preformed are however worse. What makes it is using woods and smoking your food. I have a rang of woods from Calder to Pear cherry Apple Birch maple etc. Makes for a fun and enjoyable evening, most recently I've been using rubs on my pieces of meat that my lodger (a chief at the local smoke house) has been giving me. My taste buds are in heaven and due to work commitments I've not been BBQiing/camping/fishing for six weeks not sure what I miss the most (the whole package really). Can't wait to break up for Xmas and have a few days on the bank.

For simplicity I use the cobb cobblestones, easy to light and quick to be ready to cook on
Also have some cheap copies that are good enough for a slightly shorter cooking time than the cobblestones but are about half the price and a little harder to get lit and going

If you have a compact BUY THE EXTENSION RING as the way they made the compact the cooking surface is closer to the coals and things like chicken struggle to fit also some things like Pizza won't burn so fast
and FFS DONT use those white paraffin block to light if use the natural wood bundles fire lighters
Do a search on.here COBB /BBQ OVEN in Tackle section
(( can't do a link on.my phone ))
