One of the reasons I went for the powered barrow was because of my ticker and mud like you had to contend with. The final straw was when I was pushing it around and could hear my heart beat in my ears
Now they just need to design one where the barrow follows me behind like the AI suitcases that have been around for a while and I'll be golden 👌

if people are dropping dead or genuinely worried about their own .... I think what this shows is the madness of how much stuff we take more than anything

Mate, even traveling reasonably light, to get around some parts of it it goes over walking boots, have to wear wellies. Absolute nightmare when it gets wet.
Would be great to push a barra around mown lawns and type 1 tracks, unfortunately it ain't the case on my place. One third of it is a swamp from when the rains hit in the autumn and only dry up in the summer months.

. . .I've cut down my gear massively and leave most of it in the car - all goes on the Porterlite for one trip but by the time you've circled the lake looking for fish a few times, settled on a swim and then returned to the car to load your gear, get to your chosen spot and set up etc . . .all takes time
plus I hate packing up . . .barrowing back to the car (even though the load is slightly reduced in terms of bait / water / food) is dull and seems to be harder then when you've arrived and are keen to fish . . .anything to alleviate either!

"mate" .... Distance to some swims alone is a marathon (floods, mud, cross water etc), even with a track on one of my waters. Truth is, we used to do it when younger with just a match trolley (mid 80s) and holdall over the shoulder, so its defo more about the amount of gear we take ... trying to suggest otherwise is folly
.... its just the way carp angling has gone .... im not knocking it, im all for an easy life .... but comfort = bulk and weigtht .... you rarely get one without the other and is modern carp angling has become

Oh wow reminds me of walking 4 miles as a kid to freeze my arse off at the lake one summers night... should have realised then and found a different hobby.. I've only owned a barrow for 10 years.
