Multi tools are only ideal for cycling as they fold up small and can fit in a small saddlebag. That's the point of them, but they're a lot more fiddly to use than individual tools. It doesn't make any sense to me for a fishing tool doing the awkward stuff like drilling and splicing etc.
And yeah, Ali is 100% looking at the gift sector, knowing full well that a lot will find their way into stocking at Christmas. It's no coincidence he released it now.
I was in TX Maxx yesterday and noticed a stainless 12 in 1 multitool for £7.99, wish I'd bought it now as it actually looked genuinely useful for fishing! Small pliers, scissors, knife, screwdrivers, bottle opener etc etc.

Unfortunately it's the state of modern carp fishing. Over commercialised and a right old rip off. You can shove that thing where the sun don't shine , I'll stick with my solar needle , gardener stringer needle and old nut drill I've had for more years than I can remember 🤷🏼♂️😂😂

Lets be honest, the only people buying this will be the bods on linear spamming hashtags trying to make a name for themselves so they can be the next Ali Hamidi. It serves absolutely no purpose to anyone who has been angling for 20+ years and already have their chit together. The fellas who don't change their gear every six months are not his target market.

You can get a rod pod for £30, but we opt for the £450 one, you can buy a rod for £20 but we opt for the £300 one, you can get an alarm for £20 but we buy the set for £500, you can cast to a spot but buy a £1300 bait boat instead.....
It seems to me that carp anglers have acres of disposable income, and will always over indulge and buy sh*t that they don't really need; for some reason this product from this bloke has got the blood pressure completely ramped up. At the end of the day, it's just another thing that nobody is forcing you to buy.
The longer this thread goes on, the more obvious it becomes that it's not the product that people don't like.
