So this is where I'm at with the market. It's tipped to start normalising from May onwards. Toying with the idea of getting a run around, or a less expensive vehicle for a few years.
Lenders will start predicting if things will go back to how they were in the short term or if it will take longer. There's no certainty right now which is why I'm thinking go lower end for a few years. Ideally something around the £10k mark.

Did that with the first 4 cars I bought and will be doing later this year when I down size my vehicle.

I'm not, always liked the look of the crv and people say they are so versatile so was curious but having now driven one I'll stick with the estate.

That's why you need an X5 - vague pothole/off road capabilities plus you can still chuck it about within reason . . . and take more gear that you don't need!

Love my Peugeot 5008, massive inside with the added bonus of the front passenger seat folding flat. It's also high enough to drive over potholes.

2007 honda crv 2.2 diesel for me , loads of room averages 38mpg , nice torquey engine cost £2500 had 130000miles when I got and has been trouble free since I've owned it, currently on 143000 miles.

Skoda Octavia Scout for me.
Loads of space, 4wheel drive. And 50 mpg.
Considerably cheaper than the Audi or VW equivalent.
