I'm not advocating the alarms able to connect to the receiver over silly distances but will it be 2.4GHz or 868MHz ISM ?
The lower the frequency the further you get and they are better for getting through densely wooded areas and the battery consumption is lower.
It's just a lot of alarms use 2.4GHz because you can get away with a stub / small antennae, like delkims and tbh power consumption is pretty low.

I believe daiwa have a long standing tie in with cormoran, who along with dam I think are popular in Germany. It's not the worst idea really, would be a good feature for pike and cats where you fish with very little resistance I'd have thought.

Only trouble with them was they didnt register a drop back or liners the alarm only made a noise when the spool moved the one I had was cormoran sl-elbas 30 just searched on line I had the model before that aswell but cant find it the alarm was really quite on both them no good for night fishing

I have a mate with hearing issues. He wears his round his neck
During the day. At.night he clips the receiver to the bedchair frame at head level that seems to help

Nice compact head, leds above the rod, decent sensitivity control, reliable and a competitive price, make it nice looking ( not like them Nash sirens, they look like a can of lynx Africa)
