How do you know the drivers helper tried to forge a signature or left it against your fence ? If this info has come via ups they are admitting liability.

The delivery note said left at side of house I have spoken to a guy at my local ups depot and he told me exactly what happened

Really strange of ups to do that ! They deliver a lot of rod building bits to me and won't ever leave it if I'm not in.

No I was shocked about it but could be temp drivers if busy at Christmas but to leave it outside then put a dodgy signature has really pissed me off

I had to pop out today and so I put an A4 sheet of paper stuck on the glass panel next to the knocker
parcel delivery had to pop out please dont take it back ANY of my neighbors will take it in and sign fo it on my behalf
get home the UPS bellend took it back to a drop off point had to wait till 1800 before I could collect it rush hour traffic both ways bstd

My thoughts exactly, temp drivers, sometimes it's damned if you do and damned if you don't for them though.
@ Gerry some parcels don't allow neighbour delivery, for eg parcel I got today can't be left with sub 18 year olds, and besides he probably didn't have time to go to your neighbours at this time of year...bell end...bit harsh mate

I have done multi drop driving and it only takes a minute or two more to knock on at a neighbours but ups in my case were bang out of order.Graeme pays extra so a signature is required and some little scrotum has tried get round it by scribbling a signature.Whats bothering me now though is Graeme is not answering my calls or emails so I hope he does not think I have had the net because even ups has confirmed the van helper did the signature

To be fair the issue is with UPS. If you can prove they forged the signature (record the call) then they will have to pay for another one to be made at the very least!
This is assuming the old couple next door aren't both dead in their recliners with a dymag net in the umbrella stand
