This has got to be the longest running thread in the history of carpforum and everyone is agreeing,that is one thing we can thank One Mighty Cockup for 
I wonder how long he will keep saying "its totally safe" until there is a redesign and he puts out a press release saying "we listened to all your concerns and although we felt it was safe we have redesigned it so that you have total peace of mind...... introducing the all new redesigned Twig 2.0" as if they really care about what we think and that he has done us a favour and we should now buy it. 
Just had my text message from RK saying it's banned on all the waters, anyone caught with it loses their ticket,

Probably got millions of stock to sell first because they thought it would change carp fishing and everyone would be buying it.
Massive loss if they have to bin it all.

what amazes me is that they ever brought this to market. Surely at the product development meetings some experienced angler in the group would have said "hang on a minute....." or does AH have such sway that it just got forced through, who knows.

That's what I don't get either....
Someone must have said..."hold on pal, this looks like a feckin anchor" oh yeah and "how does it detach on a crack off?"
I can only imagine it was an Apprentice moment. There's people in a room, hyping themselves, caught up in the "revolutionary" hyperbole and forget the bigger picture.
Next thing the plans are in China and next thing, the placcy anchor is on a boat over to AD.
What a stupid move.

When the fishery management group had the video call with Ali and his design guy I said to Ali that maybe he was getting advice and feedback from people who were just too "connected" to point out the issues. Whether they were genuinely not seeing it, or maybe no one wanted to speak up and tell the boss, like in the joke Hitler videos...
I said he could have got great impartial honest feedback if he'd have come and asked us earlier.
He was worried about confidentiality etc, but now that isn't the issue...
He's certainly got all the publicity he could only have dreamed of

Twig 2.0 or MK2 is pointless, it is too late already as there are potentially thousands of the original out there so the damage has been done already. Hamidi won't admit he has dropped a bollock and announce a product recall, even if he did, how many anglers would actually send them back?
The best hope is that waters up and down the country continue to ban it rendering it useless...

I was quite surprised to see that Finn Lewis, (Wildman series on Cyp) bigging the twig up, he's obviously just got a bit of a deal with them but he always struck me as a traditionalist angler....
