Neil Spooner and Tom Dove head off to the Lac du Der Chantecoq in France in search of the biggest wild carp in the world, a massive common carp that was last caught at 103 pounds.

Glad I didn't read that before watching it, bloody hard being nicely surprised nowadays
I saw the church and a big smile came across my face, didn't even hear the blabber. Really enjoyed it, didn't know it was the last in the series, still footies back soon.

Not sure if its still on youtube but there's a great vid from back in the late 80's iirc, might be Maddock, low water levels wading through thick mud...

Ps, the South African episode, I'll have to buck the trend, wasn't keen on the safari Flamingo but the Lion and Zebra had us both laughing, the Mrs had tears rolling down her face, so bad it was good, hints of Monty Python,...

I see they were wearing the new Korda waders,I don't think there is going be anything left that Korda don't sell soon.I have got to admit their gear is very very good and so is the customer service 👍

It was very noticeable that Spooner was living in those waders that session. In regards to the episode, I enjoyed it far more than the others this series

Seemed more honest to me. If they'd gone and emptied the place I'd be thinking they'd had swims saved, baited etc but it seemed an honest show. Overall I've enjoyed the show from watching them back from the beginning but it definitely has a shelf life due to expire soon

was a wonderful lake for the last episode and glad they both caught too
sadly I never got round to fishing it I have seen some amazing footage over the years by some of the anglers that fish it

I think as a company they are spot on. Also the new compac Sling has been a few of their videos which seems to have gone unnoticed. Exactly what I was after, mesh based. Bought the nash one recently, Neil said the release is a long way off

The unhooking mat is along way off too,its been in testing for 18 months.Im not sure what needs testing for that long on a mat

Really enjoyed the final episode. Felt like a proper fishing challenge. A good send off to what has been 8 seasons of great fishing entertainment.

Yeah I kind of feel that may be it for ITV. I think monster carp will continue, but I think more likely to be on YouTube or the like. Possibly only on ITV X or whatever it's called now 😂

Got to agree. I think they're doing it the right way, very calculated, not releasing for releasing sake, quite impressed TBH.

They also don't do videos of new items until they're ready to be released,ESP are the same.Fox do a video and the item can take months before it's in the shops
