I wonder if that disproportionate figure you're thinking of is actually balanced by the billions of money brought in by London workers and the much higher fare income to London lol. Or all the other higher costs that come with London too

Diesels are becoming unaffordable in London, even if its ULEZ compliant you still have the diesel parking levy in most of the inner boroughs. I've had to order a petrol van as the parking on the diesel van is often £20+ a day more expensive
If you've got parking off street an only use it for fishing that probably wouldn't matter to you

It's properly peed me off. My van is old but it's been well looked after all its life. It's had a couple of advisories on the last MOT but I think the previous five were clean passes. It's a good van and short of a battery and tyres it's needed nothing spent on it. I had no plans to change it for a couple of years at least. In fact it was my 50th last year and due to one thing and another we didn't go away so my plan was to squirrel a bit of cash away and have a holiday. Which would have been my first one in six years. Instead I'm now probably gonna have to sell this good van and use my holiday money buying something else as I've got customers in Finchley, Hatch End, Pinner etc, all in the ULEZ and most of the Colne Valley is gonna be in it and I'm not giving up tickets that I've had for twenty years to please that tosser. So it looks like a new van it is. Another politician without any idea about ordinary working people. The man's a loon. Where does he think everyone is going to magic up the money from for all these vehicles? Like thousands of people I'm still paying off my covid business loan that we were forced to take. Then in the middle of a computer chip shortage that's distorted the whole car/van market this clown decides to require potentially millions of Londoners to all change their vehicles in the same year. He's a complete bell end.

Imagine being in the boat with those of us that bought new vans 2 years ago to save 12.50 only to find you need a different van to avoid the diesel parking levy
Fo some reason my dad's old caddy gets away with the parking levy, and it's usually cheaper for me to use that and pay the ulez

C4 the 2nd car as need a 7 seater, I have ditched the mustang, accountant wasn't very happy as it wasn't very tax friendly.

When he was Mayor. First in the world I believe.
He may oppose it right now for partisan reasons but
1. We.know his word mean less than nothing
2. He invented it. And is ideologically sympathetic to an expansion.
Anyway. Nows he's an ex PM he's on the gravy train good and proper.
