Good info Gerry...I did also learn that the go system and proper trangia gas burner,also fit really well in the slot on the lixada stick stove,as its a good solid platform,plus if you ran out of meths or bio,you could get a fire going in the lixada if needed or tinder was dry enough,to fire it up...

And if anyone has got a Trangia triangle,the gas thingy also fits into those,although discontinued ,the nearest is the Click stand version or tatonka,which also fits the tatonka titanium meths burner as well..

Although any survivalist ideas dissappeard in the wet weather,earlier..

As said bioethanol also great,I use it sometimes..

I bought a case of 24 bioethanol when Eckofuels started up years ago it was silly cheap at the time less than a quid a litre delivered back then
Pros its much cleaner than Meths so no sooting and no orrible smell (( and yea yea tried the water added to meths and didnt work very well ))
Cons it burns quite a bit hotter so uses a a fair bit more than meths
I have also used denatured Alcohol 96% too

Ekofuels now seem to have done away with some labels and just call it
Bioethanol Fuel For Fireplaces this was where I bought mine from years ago it may now be cheaper on Amazon or Ebay ?
as loads of places now sell it ? but this is the stuff your looking for LINKY POO (next day free delivery)

my mate has the original all stainless Trangia its heavy but great bit of kit

Apparently, from others I have spoken with the Hard anodised and duosol pans don't spread the heat across the pans as well as the nonstick does...

You can go on Trangia Central website and learn more,if anyone offers you a red base Trangia set up ,take it..!..and run fast,..

I've got a dark grey hard anodised set and they don't seem to burn in one spot on the bottom. They all seem pretty non-stick and easy to clean, despite not having normal a non-stick surface.

I got a couple of Coleman Exponent Non Stick pans that fit my Trangia perfectly

they are now discontinued but NOTHING comes close to these pans nothing ever sticks they are Non stick, hard anodised aluminium pans
feature grooved bottoms to keep them centered on a normal stove
Lid: features a silicone heat pad that helps prevent the flip top handle from getting too hot

Remember the name in case you ever see a set come up Coleman Exponent Non Stick pans

And yes the only thing with the wonderful Primus Gravity stove is its low to the ground and stood on a groundsheet can burn it so I just bought a plumbers solder matt that it sits on

Do we have to have the usb warmers with those images or do they come in other colours/patterns. Like DC or Marvel perhaps or if a carp taxing manufacturer who can sell them for £30 each Instead of £2.99.🤣🤣🤣

Having to warm up gas coz it's pony in the winter. Here's a fix, buy a decent multi fuel cooker that you just pump up and works no matter what weather hits the U.K/ Europe, even works up Everest...

some people just like using gas and fish in places where it gets proper winters its a simple clean non smelling fix

I had a Primus multi fuel stove biggest pile of unnecessary poo I ever wasted money on
these stoves are for people that travel in countries were some fuels are unavailable not really the case in Europe is it ?

Er, what if you just want to be able to use a variety of different fuels if needs be? Maybe those same people buying such cookers go around the world...and fish in the U.K?.

Never used one so I can't comment. What I do know is that MSR multi fuel cookers and my current Optimus Polaris Optifuel is the bollox.

But isn't gas easier to get hold of than petrol these days in the UK?

I had a Primus Omnifuel too. Worked ok, but far too loud.
