You'd think so mate, but if that were the case then nobody would buy anything else. Once I know my job is secure after this covid nonsense I think I'll treat myself to a set of the new ones. Might even stretch to a set of the snag backs too

Bloody hell Ian, I am a HVAC Commissioning engineer by trade with 30plus years setting up Operating theatres, linacs, nuclear power plants, controls to fusion power plants etc yet I am too thick set up a bloody £150nicker alarm.
All the things I described happened across the entire range of the settings.
Plus and minus sensitivity and across the entire spectrum of the dial...which was the obvious thing to do when experiencing the bobbins going up and down with no beep. you know what though...nothing, diddly squat difference.
Of course it's not the delkims fault (and all the ones I have tried over the years) it user error!! FFS..
For the record a mate still has the original TXIs 2002 or 4 reciever IIRC and we proved the drop back phenomenon back then in 1988ish if the grey matter is working. The same thing happened in circa mid 2012 - 13 IIRC when I had the TXI plusses when they came out. Maybe earlier thinking about it. 🤷♂️🤷♂️
Anyway, please feel free to share the EXACT setting required to stop these dropbacks from not registering.

Well if some of us can make them work and you can't then God knows what you are up to, if it was the alarms fault then none of us would be able to get them working properly, wouldn't you agree?! Your job is irrelevant lol. I'm just a bloke who smashes buildings to bits for a living and I can work them. After all its basically a stylus like on an old vinyl record player that picks up vibration so if its going backwards or forwards it really doesn't make any difference, hence people winge about drop back differentiation which wouldn't be possible. It's not just about twiddling dials.... I actually had a drop back from a tiny cat yesterday and it registered perfectly, I was stood next to my rods watching it. Anyway, we clearly are going to have to agree to disagree as you won't change your mind and I certainly won't, so I'll stick with my delks and you stick with your att /fox or whatever it is you use and we can all just go and get our drop backs when they come....

I can assure you that the bite I had from a bream at 4am this morning was a drop back and that a Delkim TXi Plus woke me from my slumber from said drop back bream bite. Delkim sounds, look at bobbin, bobbin slackened off, lovely bream to reel in.
Not sure what more drop back information you need than a noise and a saggy bobbin?

I'm interested to know the secret of learning to use Delks correctly.
Surely it can't just be adjusting the sensitivity button down until false bleeps stop ?
Is it adding weight to the bobbin ? Or use of a line clip somewhere ?

- on the switch and 4 on the sensitivity does me for most situations. Adjusting the type/weight/line angle of the bobbin sorts the rest out. Never had a problem with false indication, unlike when I had ATTS that bleep as the line takes on water and sinks or picks up weed. They did my head in.

The new TXI-D are superb Delkim have really listened to anglers with the previous problems and fetched out in my opinion the best all round alarm, I've never had issues with dropbacks on all the delks I've had, only problems with the old TXI was water ingress and poor range with receiver, I sold my RX+ due to the fact they would not pick up slow takes using braid when Pike fishing it would skip on the roller even tried with a baitrunner and still would not register, but apart from that the RX+ where superb if your just into carp and using mono both are superb options
