I'm not desperate to get out at the moment but normally at this time of year I'd be putting in a bait order and visiting the tackle shop to get the necessary stuff needed to start up again in the next few weeks.
I've decided against ordering bait as I need the freezer space for food at the moment (not even sure if the bait companies are still operating at the moment as I presume they're struggling to source ingredients like eggs for example).
Tackle shop seem like an unnecessary journey and contact with people but obviously I could shop on-line.
As far as my tickets are concerned I have three, one syndicate and two clubs:
Syndicate is closed for the close season but renewals are due by 1st May, that's £450
Club lake 1 is open and renewals are due 1st April too, I was due to do a work party next Sunday which reduces the renewal cost by £50 but I'm assuming that's now off (although not officially heard) so that renewal will be £210
Club lake 2 is also open and renewals are due 16th June, again you need to do a work party to reduce the cost by £30 but these have been cancelled so that renewal will now be £70 In addition the lake is in a public park which I suspect may end up being closed.
That's £730 worth of tickets I need to renew with no idea whether I'll actually be allowed to go fishing or not.
Not sure what to do tbh, it's a lot of money to lose if I can't go but at the same time I'll probably never be able to get those tickets back if I do drop them.

I have just driven past out local course....car park is packed and they are all out in their little groups. They are probably all high risk aswell 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️

i've ordered a lot of bait today from ABS because I don't know when they will close and for how long etc. Got some freezer space and will be fishing as much as poss up until the lockdown.

We will be on lockdown by the end of the day.
Unfortunately the chav society of today are more interested in mcdonalds closing than self isolating its a shocking state of affairs it really is!!!

I just hope we all get through it safely,my mum is in her late 70's and got copd but trying to make her listen is bloody hard.She is as stubborn as an old mule

I live 100 yards from the beach and the beach car park was full yesterday and also this morning and they were parking on the grass and queuing up into the car park to get fish and chips. There all a bunch of inconsiderate *****s.
