Interesting if you believe what was put in the media today with the 5 steps and end of june for fishing and golf and cant work out why these have been put into the same group as 5 aside football and suchlike as social distancing is much easier. Its a two sided coin, dont want to get out there too early and understand what will be will be as fishing is not a higher priority than life but then also annoyed when its in the plan (If true) to be allowed at the same time as football which is contact sport

The HM Govt are the only ones that know the plan, everybody will need to wait for the briefing on Sunday to see what will happen.
We are nowhere near on top of this, just shy of 12,000 new infections in 48 hrs tells us that. This is despite us being under a "lockdown".
Patience is required, not people wetting their pants as a newspaper has said we'll all be out and about on Monday!! At times it feels embarrassing the way people are dealing with this, we all want "normality" but this is a marathon not the 100m.

When wee Jimmy Crankie started her briefing today by saying "my comments are not politically driven" but then went on to say she would challenge everything the Government put forward as good for England if it wasn't (in her view) for Scotland, she clearly still has a huge devolution chip on her shoulder.
There won't be a lot changing straight away but they have got to give businesses hope so I expect the plan will have a lot of caveats if the numbers improve in the short term.

It looks like the Scots / Welsh / NI first ministers are getting their next 3 week plans out first to maybe force the hand of Boris and co. If they are leaning toward the more restrictive options to maintain safety then it would be a very brave Boris to reduce restrictions for England.
I guess they can't help but be political - it's their job. If they can all keep the focus on protecting people then that's the important thing.

Agreed, no fan of Wee Jimmy myself, its all about politics eventually, but she does understand that Scotland has a higher R number than the rest of the UK currently, so they have no room for manoeuvre.
I also agree that Boris's roadmap will be signposted with targets to meet that will trigger some movement on restrictions. Hopefully we can all move together to achieve the targets, but I do worry as watching the clowns waiting over 2 hrs and causing traffic carnage to get a drive through KFC this week was again embarrassing.

I saw the KFC photos... I mean who in their right minds would que for that long for that that?
I worry for this country at times I really do, I've been out throughout this pandemic and the last few days has seen a huge increase in traffic.

I've been out working throughout as well and there are loads of ****s out joyriding, speeding has also passed drink driving as the biggest cause of serious accidents.

Unfortunately MSM has been publishing and broadcasting they all know what is coming and we will all back out enjoying ourselves from Sunday onwards. Even Peston tonight blamed the newspapers for raising expectations. FFS Peston blaming others- pot and kettle
Fishing will not figure highly on the list IMHO but I am willing to be shocked. My lake has posted it will be 24hours only when it opens to cover demand so he's expecting a high turnover of people in and out. So a quick turnover with people behind swims, crossing and jumping into other peoples recently departed area

Sports like Fishing and Golf do not need waiting or patience.
Both sports should be given the green light, with limitations and common sense of course.
