Mine have been out through the rain yesterday, covered in muck from all the dust from
The floor bouncing up onto them. Not put a foot wrong. Think as with all things there will be a few wronguns that get through, but mine have been spot on. Im happy to put my rx+ up for sale now as these have proven good

Well, they got drenched, and covered in muck, from a days worth of rain. Now i would say that is good enough for me to say i have not got water ingress issues on mine, so i dont need to keep spares just in case.
The issues have been first time out in the rain, mine have been fine.

My txi were perfect for two years and started playing up and over about a year became unreliable, sadly having them serviced was only a short term fix. These new ones may be better for reliability but only time will tell, personally I would expect many years of trouble free service from them before I would say they were a good purchase. Let's be honest they are one of the most expensive alarms out there. I've had much cheaper alarms that have been more reliable, atts, and the fox bashers won't agree but my old rx alarms were far more reliable.

If everyone waited 2 years to buy anything to see if it stands that test of time, no one would ever buy anything. Cant buy that car, it might develop a fault after 80k miles

I didnt dislike anything about them mate. I bought them when the new txis rumours surfaced, so i could sell my older txis before the market was flooded with them. Was a financial/convenience thing. Never had any bother with the rx+, they worked as well as youd expect, did everything very well. but i was always going to get the new delkims, as ive always used delkim.

Is there anything on the new delkim that is better than the rx+ I have always said if delkim sorted the utter ***** receiver out and went to digital then I would be seriously tempted

I can't understand why Delkim have decided to put so many, (useless?) Features on the new model, surely that's potentially more to go wrong?
For me, although there's no comparison in the looks department...
the RX+ gets my vote out of the two due to being far simpler to operate.
The RX has a basic on/off switch, you are not fannying about pressing 2 or 3 buttons together, then wondering if you have altered one of the 14,000 settings and then it has 3 simple Tone, Sensitivity and Volume dials....on the Delkim you have to read the manual or watch several You Tube tutorials to figure out what to do.
If you fish one water and are happy with one set of settings then fine, but if your circumstances can change and you need to regularly change the settings it's a right ball ache!
Delkim have got it 100% right in the looks and size but why mess around with everything else? The jury is still out in the water ingress issues, Receivers have been switching themselves off and then there's the ghost runs...

I don't think anyone uses the same settings for every swim/situation let alone water. I change mine regularly to suit the spots I'm fishing within a swim. My old mk1 txi+ alarms are still going thankfully. I'm young so I'd probably be fine with the tech of the new alarms but if it was a pain to adjust every alarm each time then it'll defo put me off!

What they should do is an EV equivalent in the new casing, make it wireless and have one manual adjustment.
If you're going to loosely copy the silhouette of a Neville, there should be a simplified option. If they stayed dry, didn't freeze like a roller, didn't require an IT degree, didn't crack like nev cases and cost about £100 they'd sell **** loads
