Well regardless of what happens next week I may not be going anyway have been showing symptoms over last 24 hours temperature and sporadic cough booked in for drive through test 8 am Sunday so till then I'm isolating in the cabin at bottom of the garden.i not been at work and apart from my exercise I've bot been out,but wife works as a care Support worker and has had to work all the way through of which shes had no symptoms and is going to self isolate.fingers crossed nothing more than a cold but cant see it doing my anxiety problems any good for next few days till I get the results

I'm thanks mate I'm pretty good at mo when I booked it it said you get a choice of the mouth swab or the nose,gonna have a look to see if I can find any thing out tomorrow.The worst part is gonna be the wait for the results,analysing every cough etc I the mean time.i will say that within a couple minutes of filling my details I recieved the text back from them so site must be working pretty well,couldn't get anything for Saturday but Sunday was good enough

My Mrs had a test and she said you do it to yourself and you have to swab both sides of you throat and the your left nostril, she said the worst bit was the que, it was about an hour long and you have to have your windows shut and engine off and she had hers in that hot weather she nearly passed out through the heat. She ended up testing positive but only ever had cold like symptoms no cough or sore throat and only a slight headache and temperature luckily my kids havnt shown any symptoms and I've only had a slightly thickly throat so hopefully we've got off lightly. Hope it's the same for you and yours fella.

Just went to local co-op for some veg, busiest I've ever seen it.
Apparently there are 2 metre lines on the floor weaving round the shop but no-one was more than a foot away from someone else, probably 30 or 40 of them
I turned around at the door and went to the mini M&S instead, which was virtually empty
First time I've been to a shop in the daytime for weeks, it's it like that everywhere?

OK so looking for the positive in that otherwise disappointing realisation.
I thought the numbers had leveled because of social distancing, but if the only social distancing is us not being able to go and sit by ourselves, then it should all be over soon, right

I have to go up to London once a week atm, yet again lockdown is well and truly over up there. As usual, a few people fishing the lakes alongside the M3 on the way home this eve.

I heard yesterday that there's a local syndicate that's open as usual. Difficult to condemn them when there are loads of people driving to and walking along the nearby canal towpath.

Trouble is for some people in the North such as Carlisle, Middlesbrough, etc, their local water might be 45 miles away. I live in the Midlands (dead centre of the country) and the nearest accessible lake for me is a 30-45 minute drive in any direction - South for day ticket water or North for club water complex. All the others more local are syndicate or match waters. The owner of the day ticket venue I spend most of my time on has said he will close it off to others if I am booked on to lessen the risk of contact with anyone else. I wouldn't want him to do that, but it shows that some fishery owners are not in it purely for the money.
It's a bit different if you live in Cambs or Northants or even Essex/Kent, but there are places where there are no “local” venues on peoples doorsteps.
I will probably wait until June 16 anyway as I am one of those that have the 12 week self isolation due to respiratory problems & potential other complications with a knackered pancreas & MS. I am treating it like the old closed season pre-1995. Give the fish, wildlife & backside vegetation a rest & time to recover from being pressured all year round.

Within reason driving somewhere and exercising (in this case walking) is allowed. Driving somewhere and sitting in your bivvy for a prolonged time is not.
Not saying fishing is a danger to others but once someone is allowed to break the rules then those who Pursue a different hobbies will want to and then another and another until distancing becomes impossible
