Fair play.... cheers for the work.

Always end of an era nostalgia to see old sites and formats go but things must move on. New site seems crisp and clean.

And the adds on the side seem to be normal adds for general fishing/man stuff. I was always getting ladies underwear adds and pics that made it tad sketchy having a look on the forum in public before πŸ˜‚

Total shock to see this new Forum setup, but a great step forward for this site. Saying that !!! it is a culture shock for anyone my age to adapt as the OAP side of life is well under my belt now. However still like to go fishing whenever possible.

Hi Keith
The old version of the site is still available so you can still use that whenever you like. Same content/messages/topics etc - just the old UI (User Interface)

I removed all Google Ads whilst building the new site.
Last night I got around to putting them back on.

Yes, they are a pain in the ass but they pay for about 30% of the server costs each month (I pay the other 70% out my own pocket)

If you preferred the site how it was (Google Ad free) and think the site gives you Β£10 worth of value a year then if you buy Premium all the Google Ads are removed.

Alternatively you can install an Ad Blocker πŸ‘

I don't want anyone to have to suffer those annoying ads, but from my point of view it's a necessary evil in order to contribute to the running of the site. I've been paying the bulk of the hosting costs out of my own pocket for years now.

Anyhow, I'm repeating myself, I'll shut up πŸ˜€

That’s great thanks. I thought it was something I had done as it was working seamless on my iPhone. Pretty much like an app!

Thanks,

Got to be worth a tenner to avoid some ads, support the forum and give a little back.

100% correct.
Just paid a tenner and it’s bliss not having to deal with adverts. πŸ˜€
Also good to support the site. πŸ‘

One of a few benefits and maybe some treats left to come.

Talking of advertising, the picture ads on the right of the screen, tip for ya all, if any of them are a place you do or will buy anything from, please follow from the banners. If you buy something after clicking through the banner Karlos should get a small commission and it costs you absolutely nothing. As per the below message explanation from Karlos, the site costs money to keep going, all these pictures and videos hosted by the site will add some storage costs and I reckon every little helps πŸ˜‰πŸ‘

Sorry Karl, I know you're not making a deal of costs etc. but in case this helps people support you and the forum for free from them (premium or not) then it can't hurt to mention it lol

Thanks mate, welcome to Premium 😎

Going to repeat myself here - if there's any tweaks or features you'd like to see on the site to make you time on CarpForum more useful or helpful just let me know.

I've got a few more things to get done and my ToDo list grows everyday with tweaks and ideas I'm having, but you guys are the main users of the site so I'll take your steer on things when you have suggestions (and prioritise your wish list) πŸ‘
