I jam an old pencil or pen or soemthing into a drill. Keeps it all neat and tidy in the bin

I don't moan about the lack of new products but I do tend to moan when a lot of them come out.
I prefer the days when you used to modify, fettle and invent new things, sometimes making something unique or perhaps something personal to them. It was all part of fishing, it seems people hardly do that nowadays and prefer to buy something nicely packaged and presented on a sponsored display stand in there tackle shop, or they buy it online after watching a youtube video.

I sometime wonder if people are lured into fishing by the amount of gadgets and merchandising available more than simply wetting a line.

I'm not into a line stripper, but I can't deny how handy they are.

My removing line from the reel is done while watching television, by hand.
I reel it onto an old line spool, and I can then return it easily to the line bank in my local tackle shop.

Yes the D stripper from Ace had one but the lugs on the cap went brittle and snapped off after a couple of years Carpspirit picked the product up.
