I quite enjoyed it from an entertainment point of view. Tom Dove seems like quite a nice and funny chap and Danny has kind of grown on me over the years. I don't take much if any of the ‘tactical' stuff too seriously in any fishing videos. I fish very simply as it's how I get the most enjoyment from it.
I think the way to make these sorts of thing more of a proper learning exercise is to have the angler just fish as he would normally fish and not see what's going on on the camera. However it's probably not a financially viable option.
I don't actually want to know what's going on under there, that's the magic. Unless im lucky enough to find a lovely little margin spot in a clear lake and I can watch them feeding i prefer it all to be a mystery.

I really want them to put 3 rods on the same spot. I don't believe for a second they spook of the hookbaits, sometimes they look like they're going for it, but then pick up something else near it. Do you honestly believe that if the fish spotted the hookbait and lead and marked it as danger, it would then happily pick up a bait 10cm away? No chance.
I can't help but think if you had 3 hook baits within a foot area, your chances of getting picked up would be a lot more than 3x the likelihood of just one hookbait.

I picked up the local newspaper the other day, started reading a random page near the back. It read - Toffee Crisp, starbar, boost.

During the summer months i very often fish with a bottom bait out the bag....then use a stringer with bottom baits out the bag, followed by a glugged hi viz bait. I don't think it catches my more fish, but the theory is there. I'm always suprised it's not a tactic I've ever seen written about. Using 'decoy' hookbaits.

My theory is that 'fresh' baits are the danger bait, so I make my stringers with fresh baits, but the hookbait is 'old'.
I put my hookbait on when I arrive, obvious, but next day when I recast after reeling in to walk Sky, I don't change the bait, but put on new bait stringer.
I have been known to take hookbait off when I pack up, and put it back in a tub to reuse next trip.
