Having one of my best summers for a while on trent baits SAS freezer baits, also FS as high attract wafters fished on their own,

I think some a shorter than that....I had some from a company recently, opened the 5K bag and used about half then went to use them again about 4 weeks later and they smelled like cat sick..... ....binned the lot of them.

I wonder if you could freeze a bulk order and then defrost a few kgs at a time as a sort of semi-shelf life.

Surely that defeats the object of buying shelf life. If that's what your gunna do then just buy frozen

I'm no bait boffin, but i was advised if you freeze shelf life baits then you need to treat the the same as fresh frozen baits.

You could always freeze a few then defrost and see how long they last,or vacuum pack them which should lengthen their shelf life.

You pretty much would. I was just thinking in terms of preserving any left overs from a session if they wouldn't last until your next trip.
