Is this the video the witch-hunt is based on with a bit of hearsay mixed in or is there proof he sat down for a brew?
To be fair he could well have gone to get his phone to make a social media post to friends the same as 90% of people probably do nowadays and it's been taken out of context. You can easily make scales more secure on a tree than holding them by hand, are we assuming a bloke who goes fishing can't tie a reliable knot?
It could all be true, but trial by social media based on that video isn't fair imo

The fish is four feet in the air, with no mat underneath it, against the tree trunk, with no one minding it and probably dry. Are you seriously saying that's acceptable. All of those are bad enough whether or not the tea making bit is true or not. It's hardly a witch hunt when he's filmed it himself Is it? The evidence is plain to see.

The guy in question is acting like hes not bothered but in a recent post its obviously bothered him a bit to go out and order a Nash weighing tripod but then he doesn't even get it out the box and says what a piece of ****, if anyone wants to pay him a visit for a shank up he's giving out his address but states do it by the weekend to get it out the way.
The level of intelligence by this guy is outstanding give your address out when he breeds French bull dogs for a living and has a house full of fishing kit, I'll hazard a guess his next post might be about getting turned over tackle and dog thefts are probably not things to be posting about and giving out a full address.

Well hes not actually offering a knife fight more of a straighter but he's such a rudeboy I've put the shank bit in seems appropriate for such a Topboy.

I'm saying how do you know the fish is dry? That he didn't just read the weight and run a dozen feet for his phone? That he didn't swing on the connection to the tree himself to check the strength?
I mean let's just jump to assumptions that he is going to stab people because he's brown too **** it...

Call me old fashioned but I came into fishing from the age of four, catching Roach and Perch on our local canal with my Dad and learnt how to handle small fish first but these days young and older people come straight into the sport wanting to catch big Carp, they often spend mega bucks buying what they want, they learn about casting, rigs and bait etc but the last thing on their mind is how to care for the fish, I see it on this and many other forums and hear the same thing in tackle shops, "Where can I find a day ticket water where I can catch a 30 or 40", not asking how do I deal with a big Carp if I catch one, there is nothing we can really do if this is what they want to do only hope someone experienced is close by to help

Nobody's talking about fighting him I mentioned that he has put a social media clip out himself offering people up to his place if they want to sort it out, In the posts I've made about the shank bit is irrelevant to the colour of his skin everything this guy puts out is like watching an episode of Topboy my bad for making a joke of it I'll hold my hands up poor show, but the guy is comical.
You cannot defend the inexcusable whether the fish was wet/dry, or he's had a cup of tea weighed from the tree or not the facts on show that cannot be defended is the sling is not fully zipped up hes walking from some distance away with his phone whether he's popped to his bivvy to quickly grab it or not it would take a split second for the fish to start flapping with how near it is to the tree to swing against it possibly harming itself or for the sling zip to pop open and the fish to fall to the ground with no unhooking mat underneath it it's just not good fish care of a fish of any size.
