Not sure what to say, there were night tickets available to anyone for nearly 2 days.
A limit was needed, the place has been beyond busy. The club have done it for the members benefit, definitely not to cash in

I know it's not to cash in, otherwise there wouldn't be a limited amount of tickets. The point I'm making is, if you're a carp angler there is no way of being able to fish overnight on any of the waters, unless lucky enough to secure a ticket, which is disappointing, as all it does, is force the average angler to join clubs further afield, where there is the availability to night fish.
I know it's not to cash in, otherwise there wouldn't be a limited amount of tickets. You had your chance of a night ticket, and never took it up, if you REALLY wanted one, you would of found a way, despite working 9-5, I reckon you just like a good moan 🤣

I'm sorry buddy but I have to agree with the others. If you had the chance of a night ticket and chose not to take it I don't think it's fair to have a gripe with the club itself. It sounds to me like they're trying to do the right thing for the good of the anglers.
Everyone (or nearly everyone) has work commitments to deal with. Where there's a will there's a way, you should have just got a ticket.
Edit: I fish a days only club water myself and if the chance of a night ticket came up I'd literally book a days holiday or even pull a sicky (which I've not done in 15 years) if it meant getting a ticket.

One particular club ticket i have, actually has an additional 'night pass' for night fishing however one other water requires another supplement night ticket! and also supplement for 3rd rod. Its still not that much when all added together tbh
I think with the prices being charged for syndicate waters, they have realised they can charge a bit more, theses clubs though have kept prices low but imposed these additional add ons.
Cant blame them nothing stays the same price eh geez

Agree, providing them are putting the profits back into the club, developing the waters, and stocking fish etc. it can only be good for the angler and good for the club, how it should be
Flip side of the coin is, I know one club and what they are trying to charge for the quality of the stock that's in it I feel is unfair, grossly unfair!!!

Just got some info about one of my local clubs, £120 a year initial ticket have to do a year then can get a night ticket is an extra £100

I don't actually think that's to bad for a year ticket, my club is the same price and my 2 syndicates I'm a part of are a lot more, so I'd be happy with only £250

One of the clubs I'm with have a lovely little 5 acre lake that was rarely fished only me and a few others and had some lovely carp in it not big but very pretty. Then a couple if young lads joined and the secret was out every fish they caught went on facebook.There was a 50 member limit but there was nowhere near that many members. This year it has increased to 140 members and is full and now and supposedly has a waiting list but apparently you still join if you go to the clubhouse with cash. The lake only has 12 swims and 3 of them are not worth fishing and they are all ready having problems down there with rubbish, rule breaking and noise. My biggest gripe though is the amount of fish being lost in snags. I was down the for a 48hr session and the guy next to me caught 1 and lost 4 in a large snaggy overgrown bush with lots submerged tree branches. On the way out the next day I got talking to the bailiff he had been out in the boat 3 times the previous day trying to get fish out of snags. I have nothing against snag fishing if you sensible about and fishing locked up and on you rods but these new members are literally fishing inches from these snags and going to bed. He caught one guy fishing 3 rods tight to the snags on the other side of the lake and he was around there baiting up whilst his rods were still fishing. I think putting money ahead of the wellbeing of the fish and environment will come back to bite them in ghe arse.

It's not bad but for I think 3 lakes where nights are allowed each only having around 15 swims but the membership is over 150 people it becomes 220 for the hint of a chance of getting a swim on a weekend

Yeah saying that it does sound a lot of members for such a little chance of being able to get on. Luckily mine doesn't have no where near that amount

Had a walk round one of the club waters near me on the opening week. Had been closed for a few months. Is always busy.
What didn't surprise me, but I wish it did, the bailiffs were allowed to fish during the close season, can't say I agree with that, a close season should be a close season, but hey ho. Yet opening week of the season, one of the bailiffs is still fishing a session of at least a few days. Would have hoped a bit of decorum may have come in and the first few weeks be left to members
