I'm starting to find the constant "lobbying" by the AT quite frankly embarrassing now, do they not realise that MP's have got quite a bit on their plates at the moment without having to think about people going fishing, comes across as incredibly selfish in the circumstances.
I want to get the rods out as much as anyone but there's more important things happening at the moment, sit tight, behave and it will be over quicker...

Leave you house for exercise not sport. At the end of the day it's only fishing. Some people on here tho really don't understand what he said last night. I do question if most on hear live in Norfolk and make love to there sister

I'm the same as you bud, I love my winter fishing for me it's my favourite time of year but there is so much more going on now so 6 weeks no fishing for me is fine. I find the attitude of some on here embarrassing and childish just get on with it

To answer your question obviously the rambler going over 5 stiles would be the greater risk.
However there is a big difference in doing what is allowed and what is sensible. The rambler should find other walks with no stiles.
Even if we were allowed to go fishing in these times we shouldn't. It's called being sensible, considerate, public spirited etc.
These things are a bit like Russian roulette. The gun could be pointing either way but the results of not being sensible could be the same result.
Note I've used “SENSIBLE“ many times so people might understand my point.

i tend to agree in a way.
a lockdown should be exactly that...a lockdown

the government has to consider peoples mental health i guess as thats going to be a killer in itself,
