I'm not sure what the concerns are whether its because Muslims eat it or the cruelty aspect
Of course your likes of Muslim run kebab shop/Indians will only use halal meat.
I'm not really sure what to make of your comment, I work in the Middle East and have no choice on my food but I dont eat meat when I'm away because I don't believe in the suffering and the cruelty involved with a halal slaughter, some of my closest workmates are “proper' Muslims and I couldn't ask for a better crew.

That's my point, there must be reasons people don't not like the idea of Halal meat. I would have thought that Halal meat produced in this country, the animals would have to be humanly dealt with prior to throat slitting. Otherwise I would have thought the animal rights brigade would be all over it regardless what is said below. I don't believe our government would support it for starters in a world of politically correctness

I've watched a couple of documentaries on this over the years, pretty distressing stuff. While I accept I'll be eating it from a curry house or kebab shop I will avoid the KFC, subway etc branches that are halal, as not all branches are serving it

That's why I try to avoid halal, it's a disgusting process which religion or not should be banned. In this day and age its unacceptable

It's been said already we don't live in an ideal or perfect world and so everyone going vegan is not going to happen soon so for the time being as we try to make the world a better place do we stun them before killing them or just cut their throats and say a prayer?

Not getting on a hippy high horse, but to say I won't eat halal because of animal cruelty and then still eat the chicken is shaky ground.
Not having a dig at anyone or suggesting we all go veggie. Just making discussion....
