It's £2.50 a month for a 2 rod license. I'm really not going to cry over £2.50.

MOTs have been put back by the government.
The Sky Sports empire have offered to suspend Sports subscribers for the time being.
Probably more examples.
We don't know when we will be able to go fishing again.
If you pay for 12 months, and you lose 2 or 3, I think it's reasonable you should have some cut back.
It's ok if you'e got the money.
Some people have \ will struggle, and I think they are entitled to the time they have lost on their licence.
*If* we can't get back fishing by July\August, then the EA will obviously have to come up with something or there will be a big backlash, and rightly so.
No doubt they are planning for such a scenario.

If I can't fish all year and lose the whole cost of my licence then so be it.The EA will still be out doing their jobs and need paying

My experience over many years is that buying a rod licence is the quickest, most hassle free and speedy process that you can experience dealing with officialdom. Get on the net. Print your receipt and you can fish, 5 mins max. 24/7/365 days a year. The licence runs from the time and date asked for on purchase for the period requested. If the money bothers you then don't buy one until you can fish again, then buy one and go fishing. Simples. Not up to the Environment agency to burp you and change your nappy. I renewed mine on last day of Feb as every year. Money is still needed for our fisheries. Come on guys, this is no big deal.

Off topic (a bit) ... back in the day when I used to do a lot of touring with a mate of mine we used to play the very sad and annoying game of 'I went to school with him / her..'

Basically any combination of words that could potentially be a name were followed by the phrase 'I went to school..etc.'

For example - I'll meet you at Victoria Station ..... 'I went to school with her'


so - Rod Licence..... ( I think you can work it out)

try it on your friends and see how utterly fun / annoying it can be

What the hell are you talking about? Yes, a rod licence is easy to buy online. Doh.
Most of my fishing takes place May-August.
If I pay for a licence and can't fish during that time it's not unreasonable for me to get a refund or be able to fish those four months at a later date (after the licence has expired) .
I have absolute respect for the EA and their work. That is not the point.
The EA are funded by the government btw, who made this decision.
