Have been. A member now for 9 months ish. Love the lake. Would Join again as so nice and u get left to fish
It's not a hard water. But the walk is hard and dew to it's size it's hard to find the fish. But u find them u have them out. Wind fish go with it all the time. And there a silt gravel seam find that and the fish find the bait. It's the biggest estate lake in uk at 139 acre. Walking the banks is the hards part to find fish as north bank is all hills. Fish do not show or not very much may just brake the water blink u miss them. It's a beast of a lake with drop off filled with muscles that cut of the line like cotton. But it's lovey and some good fish to be had out. A good mix of fish commons and mirrors fish out to just under the 40lb just time till a over 40 comes out.

Fished the park many moons ago, would love a ticket now, but 1k is half a family holiday for the year.

was always 3 lakes, Virginia water, obelisk and Johnsons
Parkies were not interested back in the day, we used to photocopy the tickets and pass them around our mates, hid in the rhodies while night fishing etc. Wish we could go back to those sort of times. Never had any bother at all, except one night where my moped lights and mirrors were smashed up, I still today think it was the parkies who did it as a warning to keep away from night fishing the lakes

I will definitely ask the question of whether i can bait up so I can hopefully hold them in an area, or at least getting them visiting....
If I can speak to any members i will definitely try to pick their brains- realistically its a bit to far and out of my price range to join the syndicate....thats one of the reasons i am so excited to spend 48 hours there!!!

FIsh were also up 5 arch arm, and in wick pond bay.
Didn't see any monsters.. but they're about!

A few years ago all we used to see was bream and small commons sunbathing on the hot days, especially up the shallower arms.
Once however my mate did see a shoal of 20-30 lb mirrors up the American arm and that was probably 15 years ago, certainly before they restocked. He said there were about 10 of them. He also once saw a very big common clear the water.
Are you guys seeing any of the bigger fish during your circuits or are you too distracted by the yummy mummies?

Obby is still fishable, quite a large stock in there.. done 36 hours a few weeks back and had 20+ fish out up to 27lb.

The biggest was probably around mid to high 20. We wondered down to the 'swamp' The smaller waterfall from wicks pond. There was an abundance of fish there.. Couldn't gauge sizes but nothing huge.

Parking is at saville gardens so it's a 2 min walk to get to the lake. Honesty we aren't sure. since the syndicate the biggest out i believe is just over 30.. I've seen one much bigger than that by the bridge.
There's also something in there that keeps snapping people off!
