Lad just showed up on the lake this morning and showed me them.
Honest opinion is on weedy and snaggy lakes they're a massive no. It's like a mini anchor once open. The arms are in no way as flimsy as he said they were on the video.
The click is fairly harsh but not enough to rip a carps mouth but again this is only going by feel.
Just don't see the Appel at all if the rigs done it's job and the leads set the hook that's all I require. So it's a no from me

I've fished monument just the once and came away thinking it was well run. Totally opposite to the unkempt lake I usually fish, but I enjoyed it all the same.
One of their rules is that fish must NOT be unhooked in the water, which is contradictory to Ali's statement on the twig though

Is all this chat about its safety etc and lakes banning it a massive deflection from its actual function? I'm yet to see any underwater footage of the thing actually triggering? Am I missing something? Has anyone actually seen anyfootage what so ever of this thing triggering to catch a carp that likely would not have been caught without it.
