Basically if you buy all the gadgets / end tackle that the tackle company's promote , it's probably costing £30 ish a rod, with hooks, hook length, weight leadcore etc etc.

How much does it cost to set up 3 rods? Last meter so from leader/tubing down... Leader, magic stick, heli safe, special lead, hooklinks, all the beads and swivels etc...

Well keeping back on topic, ive took the plunge and bought a pack of 3, gonna repurpose as a weed rake, and when I'm not using them fishing, my nephew can use as a grappling hook for his action man.

"Pack of 3" They only come in packs of 2 so that you have to buy two packs if you want to use them on 3 rods.... yet another marketing ploy to sell you twice as much and line Ali's pockets.... winner winner half a plate of chicken dinner....

9.99 for a pack of 2 a mate sent me a screen shot of them we were discussing them today as he popped down to me as I was fishing,as I've had my first carp in 12 months yesterday,I said to him I'd rather work hard at catching a carp than cheat(is that the right word) or maybe make things easy for myself if I used this twig thingy,I showed my brother other night he's a match fisherman and even he said it doesn't look safe in many ways

Yeah, about the continent.
Normally i consider myself lucky not being confronted with all the rules and regulations british angling seems synonymous with, but in this case all for the better.
I thought we would dodge this bullet by omc not being available on the continent, but alas, alixpress also delivers here through his webshop, including p&p just 18 euro for two!
Hope not too many continental anglers fall for this crap, i still don't see the magic, hell in the net, and just forget unhooking in the net if your fishing isn't center parcs style.

Out of pure curiosity I have ordered a pack of twigs, I want to physically look at them and understand exactly how they work although if i was subsequently 1% concerned about safety, (which no doubt i will be) I wont actually use them, even though they are allowed on my water.....

I am just genuinely interested to see a product it in the flesh and then pass judgement rather than write it off because everyone else has. OK, it will be a tenner down the drain, (although I might sell them on eBay at a profit once they go out of stock everywhere) but like I said, it is genuine curiosity.
There are a couple of features I am really interested in like the lead-clip arrangement and whether you could actually drop the lead as well as there being enough force before the lead drops for the thing to work properly, I suspect not.
I was speaking to a guy on my syndicate this weekend and his first impression, just like mine and everyone elses was, (and still is) negative but he hasn't seen one in the flesh either. We have an OMC sponsored angler on our lake and the chap generally struggles, so we agreed it will be interesting to see if he all of a sudden starts clubbing them out!
