Also weed on the line, lily pads etc can create a pivot point for the line which allows the fish to kite and not give an indication at the rod end

I just would of thought the fish moving would of been picked up by the vibration system on the delkims.

I don't fish tight lines unless it's unavoidable ( snags ) so that theory doesn't hold up.
It's a fact that you can pull line out slowly with any Delkim and you get no indication at all. This doesn't happen with other alarms as line movement = indication.

I'm unsure you can pull out line slowly on any indicator, especially not delkims, the only possible way this could happen is if the line was missing the stylus thus not having any kind of bobbin.
I could be wrong but have used delkims (alongside every other alarm) and this isn't a fault I've ever known about.

OH behave!!! thats simply not a fact ?
only in your head as far as facts go its complete bollix
the very lightest bobbin would ensure it was touching the sensor and if its correctly adjusted the sounder goes off FACT !!!
I bought 4 TXIs when they were first released being single and a the time in a well paid job with 6 weeks paid holiday plus leu days trust me I spent them mostly all fishing and sometimes in every horrific conditions you could encounter in Europe
my go to settings 90% of the time sensitivity switch set to plus (bottom left) then sensitivity set at 3 thats it simple just need to adjust the sens dial up or down a bit unless its extreme conditions
in the day press and hold the mode button in till it beeps twice this turns off the night light and makes the leds easy to see in daylight
at night press and hold it till it beeps 4 times
this turns on the night light markers and decreases the led light so it dont blind you and mess up your natural night vision

If you're able to do this all it proves is that you set either the alarms, bobbins or both up incorrectly.

If I fart near mine with the response set to high all 3x alarms go off!

Try a slow drop down and see if you get any indication. I did this on the delkim stand and never got a bleep....
I like the delkim txid's but that the fact that they can't register a slow drop back, is quite a disappointment
