Sorry to hear that regarding Homersfield.
and yes Norman was a well liked fellow, not one to suffer fools, but always helpful to us all back in the day.
a lot of the old well respected guys are sadly no longer with us.
many places have become less than they were back then, some through neglect, some by predation, other even by managerial changes.
but then some have improved greatly.

Yes Norman was a lovely chap as was his lovely wife Vera, who passed way too young.
He was instrumental in putting carp fishing on the map and accessible for many, when he opened Waveney Valley.
That and the importing of carp which stocked many waters.

Another one of those very good and accomplished anglers and all round decent guys liked by all that met him, unlike some of the "names" around today who are it seems reviled by as many as revered.
