I bought a set of new TXI'D's last year to replace 4 pluses than I had owned for a good ten years. 1 of those pluses played up in rain and started beeping on its own in a really bad downpour but the other 3 were flawless. My mate is still using a set of three TXI's which must be getting on for 20 years old, again no issues. You will always get the odd duffer but they are such a good alarm the occasional faulty one I could live with. No ingress issues thus far on my new TXI'D's but I don't use them all the time as I still love my NTXR's.

And mention wolf for good measure and get the I was going to get them but there huge. Fact is they are only a fraction bigger than the fox rx+ which I had before these but the size of an alarm doesn't bother me at all and I also have nev's on my two rod settup.

I had a set of original Delks that I used with the original plug in transmitters - these worked perfectly for 29yrs until they started to give up the ghost. I bought a new set TXI-Ds last year. Out of four alarms and one remote I have had to return three of them! One alarm no night lights and one LED stopped working, another alarm LEDs stayed on all the time and finally the remote started eating batteries. Delkim customer service was as ever excellent and in each case a completely new replacement was sent, but it does make me wonder how long they will last for.................or maybe I just got a duff batch???

Happy April fools
I had RX+ they were a disaster stopped working after 2 weeks fox customer service don't get me started.....
Went back to delks never had problem.

Only had my txid's about 6 months but they've not missed a beat through the winter, always packed away and left till the next time, wet, dirty or dry.
First time with delkim so pretty impressed so far

6 months lol, will be impressed if my wolf alarms still work perfectly in 15 years time, if not they will be gone.

My prediction is you'll see Korda owning Delkim in the next few years and giving the alarms the proper investment they desperately need. IMHO you'll see a complete reworked design as the TXiD has definitely not lived up to the hype.
Either that or the few times that Ali has now mentioned he'd like to introduce electronic technology into the range, maybe he'll convince his financial backers that Delkim is ripe for a take over. We saw with Solar how difficult it is to break into the alarm market, but to buy an established brand and turn it around might be a smart move for someone.

The RX+ is definitely a comparable premium product. There's cheap sets of digital alarms available from a whole host of other budget brands now. Old farts like me still look fondly at Delkim as the gold standard, with all it heritage. But does a twenty year old these days view them the same way. I doubt it. They probably look at a feature list before history.
Delkim is absolutely crying out for a take over and if a numbnuts boiler engineer like me can see it I'm sure some of the best business brains in angling lined it up in their sights years ago

Not lived up to hype in what way? They do everything they say they will do dont they? And im sure theyve sold shed loads, im pretty sure they sold out everywhere when first released. And theyve stayed around the same price point as previous models, which is nice in an industry of ever increasing pricing

Lot more wallys fishing now though isnt there. Would rather blame their tools than learn to use them properly

Delkim turnover in 2020 was over £5 million up on 2019 bet 2021 (from m what I could find on companies house etc they probably have some other parts under different names) was a good year also.
It would cost Korda an awful lot of money to buy them and why would they in a market with only a handful of successful manufacturers....
Hats off to delkim to staying true to what they are good at “just” selling alarms.
How many other companies have managed to “just” sell alarms and still be in business for over 30 years.
Clearly if sales are still strong they are hardly be what you would classify “as ripe for takeover” owing to the amount of cash you'd have to stump up to buy them and the necessary R&D costs to improve the brand somehow.....
