I bet they use things from the food/drinks industry for example energy drinks its then about breaking down the compounds into more concentrated solution

If this is proven, and it's a big IF, would it leave any "anglers" using it open to prosecution? Probably not from a fish or fishery point of view, but maybe for the missuse of a licensed drug. I would imagine the RCVS would take a dim view of any of it's members writing prescriptions for drugs to be used outside their licensing conditions.

I vaguely remember reading a report many years ago about Coarse Fish and Trout congregating in the vicinity of clean water outlets from Sewage Works, high levels of dissolved estrogen from contraceptive pills was found to be the cause, which was still present in the water.
It's a while ago, but fish were changing sex and all sorts of abnormalities were found off memory.

I tend not to pay much attention as to who's catching what these days, but when I first heard about this hormone crap I straight away thought of a bcac match won by a mainline pair, I've never seen a response to bait like it.
And that's the problem for me, for all I know this just a rumour dreamt up by some jealous mug, but now, you can get a very good angler have a great session with the fish in front of them and the rumour mill will go again

I certainly get where you're coming from, end of the day, this has to be confirmed and not just hearsay or conjecture.
I've mentioned this on here before: a very good friend of mine over the course of 3 days I believe literally emptied a place which had some very good anglers fishing it at the time and was busy. My friend didn't use anything other than a certain dog food which he pilled in...they went mental for it, hanging themselves. Could it have been that the fish were all lacking something that my mate had in his bait, who knows. What I'm getting at is that some anglers do have big hits from time to time and that the bait they're using being free from some sort of 'special' could have come into play, all the time? Hmm, I don't know.
I totally agree that if these substances are being used, they need to be banned if they end up polluting waters.

You were actually partially right. Whilst it can be bought, it cannot be used in any feed. So can only be used in hookbaits that won't be ingested.
