Is that an old camping gaz cooker I see beneath the food. Got to be the best value bit of camping gear I've ever had. Used heavily every year for the last 30+ years and as good as the day I bought it(bit grubbier). They really don't make em like that anymore.

yes its a Campingaz Camping Chef
years old and love the griddle plate that fits both my double burner stoves
I have 2 regulators when I used to go to France I leave the calor gas bottle and butane regulator here
and went to the local Supermarket and bought a local propane regulator and after that every trip just needed a small local supermarket brand cheap propane bottle it only used to be 2 euro deposit and would last a month easy and just gave it away to a local when I left cheap as chips
over here I tend to use a Coleman petrol double burner for the past 18 + years now run on Aspen 4 used to use the higher grade panel wipe but Aspen is superior in every way
PS
lots of Camping gaz chef double stoves on facebook market place and Coleman petrol too

For most of the year my Trangia 27u/l is my go to . I have cheated though and use a gas conversion (Wandle will be shaking his head in dismay ☹
really don't like the like the minimal risk of fuel smell on my hands. Usually have a home cooked spag bol, chilli ,curry or bouginon with crusty bread . Often do a mini steamed pud for dessert too. Hot water from pud is used to wash out chilli pan etc, then a quick wipe and hey presto. Every now and then my big cook bag with the RM comes along instead, but the 27 is much more convenient tbh.

I love Trangia stoves I got the 27 and the bigger 25 and the mini 28 a very good mate years ago worked at place that built helicopters and had my Trangia sprayed with a matt heatproof jet engine paint
I just love using them
Im never in a hurry fishing and love the peaceful silence of the stove and the windy it gets the better they work ! when using the frying pan it is of course above the windshield so I have one of these fold up concertina type windshields that I modded to go over the pan support clips and is perfect round the frying pan and stops anything splashing on the bivvy too
I also found one of these heat saving kettles that fit inside and being more efficient the fuel last longer not worried about its quicker just the fuel saving
I cant stand gas stoves that sound like a bloody jet engine those poxy multi fuel crappy things are the worst they should come with a set of ear defenders lol

I have just done four nights with my relation on a big local ressi,he's gone and bought the latest NGT dynamic gas stove,if you like gas it's very good....
However,...my relation knows of my love of 27ul.Trangias,and was totally gobsmacked at what I was cooking up on my system,...one of the meals I did was just two components, which was a slow fried rib eye steak from this wicked new farm shop up the lane, and fresh field mushrooms, that's just one of many lovely meals I did over those days..
I mightve mentioned it before, but I can get any stove I want,...not being a swell head saying that, but not much can beat proper fresh grub on a trangia ,in the dark watching the flames lick around the frying pan or kettle..
They are awesome systems ..

In my pitiful defence ,I use a std gas burner on low,so there's no hideous roaring noise. I have also been known to clean pots &,pans eau naturelle.....or with a teabag
I've just gone with the Trakker Armolife Marble Cookset, not used it yet, but thought I'd try something differant than the standard non-stik coating stuff which i find disappears eventually, feels good quality and my kettle fit inside the saucepan perfect. Lids are available separately if you need them.
Been picking up Aldi's packets of king chilli prawns, tuna steaks and white fish, frying off with a little butter for a change to the norm, beautiful, filling and quick to cook.

If you want to travel light/minimal then the Sea To Summit X-set 11 (collapsible cups and kettle) fits inside the Ridgemonkey toaster (having removed all the utensils and holding tray.) Add a plastic spork from eBay that comes with a mesh bag, and the handles go in there too, plus will also fit into the toaster. Spot on for quick trips, zero space wasted.

The following recipes I usually cook when I go camping:
1. Campfire Scrambled Eggs
2. Camping Chilaquiles Recipe
3. Baked eggs with beans
4. Chicken and rice
Most recipes contain eggs because of the easiness to prepare and the high number of proteins and fats. I transport eggs in bubble wrap tends placing them on top of other products. Besides eggs, I prefer chicken breasts with rice in foil.

Has anyone else seen the new idea by Outlaw Pro,it's a cooking kit in a bucket. It has two trays that attach to the side to make a cooking station,it looks quite a good idea
