What's he doing in Korea? I've not seen it, is there gd carp fishing there?

Openly admits he doesn't watch Korda Podcasts at the start and then later states previous anglers are boring on the podcasts..🤔. Hour in and getting tired already. Going to put some more stickers on my bucket.

I agree mate, I thought that it was absolutely brilliant. Incredibly honest, often contradictory but he came across extremely well to me. I really enjoyed it.

only issue i had with it,

if he was aiming at the younger generation, then smoking gear, swearing in every sentence, possibly isn't the best thing

although i do like the outlook a bit

The language didn't bother me, my own is atrocious.

Fair to say his life is very different to mine and my family comes first for me, but I really dug what he had to say....once I was a few minutes in and more used to his mannerisms.

He's a character, you may not like him but at least he his himself, How many anglers, sports persons, movie stars are willing to show their true persona? Very few, just look at the likes of Andy Murray, Lewis Hamilton etc not an ounce of personality amongst them, then think back to "golden days" of McEnroe, Hunt, the Rat Pack... true characters who were willing to show emotions and even their failings etc.
The sanitised world doesn't like the outspoken, for all their haters, the likes of Nick, Penning and Shelley are at least doing what they like, how they like. Long may it last in my book

Must admit, I really like the guy. More personality than most of the other carp robots put together.

His outlook on what fishing once was, and what it could/should be today is pretty much in line with my own. He obviously loves the essence of carp fishing, that is probably lost on a lot of anglers these days.

He doesn't take himself too seriously, knows exactly who he is, and has enough years in the game to not care what anyone else thinks.

Does what makes him happy, and if it doesn't affect anyone else then why the hell not.

Fair play I say.

I enjoyed listening to the interview and thought he came across as a decent bloke.

The best bit on the video is at 2:18:10 when he goes full David Brent.

You do know that even Buddhists have flaws? Even those that have surfed the waves of enlightenment have flaws? There's many an historical monk or lay that are deeply flawed. Following the teachings of Buddha doesn't mean that you instantly become this vibrating being radiating light in all directions, far from it.

What would you do if you met the Buddha on the road?

I really enjoyed watching Nick. Refreshing to hear someone telling it how it is. No nonsense stuff.

I certainly can see why people have a negative opinion of him. He does come across as he could be quite grating to some.

Makes a pleasant change to hear someone talk about *the moment*, the being, just existing in the here and now.
