I would say fishing is a go. But get used to those furlough carpers. They'll be round a bit longer

Obey the rules that the government asked us to do?
Eat out to Help Out was the biggest spreader of Coronavirus as most restaurants and pubs are air conditioned, not ventilated by open doors. That was a government inititive.
Oh, and coronavirus being spread through schools and universities.
Outdoor activities were the smallest cause!
You try telling someone on furlough that they have to stay indoors, live in your prison cell, that is what a house becomes if you don't go out. You can't rely on television or internet to keep you entertained. Fishing at least gives them some release from boredom.
Think yourself lucky, I'm in the hospitality industry, and have already been made redundant, although taken back on as a Senior bar member.
I was a deputy manager in a hotel, restaurant and bar. We have lost all our functions, our income; no weddings, no wakes, no Christmas parties, no corporate events. That is the owners livelihood, and around 100 staff in the local area. If there are any other anglers than myself then they have a choice, day tickets if they can afford it, or season tickets for clubs.
Furlough has apparently been extended after tonights announcement, but the latest lockdown is only to stop the NHS getting inundated and overloaded. The reason for overloading?
The government didn't fund the NHS properly and allowed mismanagement for years, at least since 2009 when they were warned of a worldwide pandemic of flu or a new virus...

How about introducing it for ALL the eejits who didnt/cant/wont grasp the concept of social distancing,mask wearing (as a matter of courtesy if nothing else) and a touch of personal hygiene now and again. Yes mask wearing is or can be unpleasant but whats the alternative? Fed up with these inconsiderate idiots all around thinking they know better and are themselves immune.

Even some of the government ministers were wearing masks with valves on. For those that don't realise, these let the wearer breathe out with less of a hindrance, so utterly pointless.

You do know that covid is not strictly airborne but present in the water droplets exhaled through coughing and sneezing from an infected person hence social distancing and wearing a mask will massively help prevent the spread of the droplets directly from person to person.

I was under the impression that masks are to stop the person wearing it spreading it airborne
