Can I just point out jim is just doing what people have been calling guesting for years and years, think black mirror think various other big names who put articles in mags about their guesting. It's all poaching. Jim is a character I disagree with a lot of the stuff he says and does(and have had conversations with him on insta about it) he has an odd character
As for Elliot again through insta have asked advice and he has been very willing to chat recommend things(none of which were sold by his sponsor) and have found him friendly

Shelley is a true one-off, but he has made things work for him. There's clearly some underlying issues with him, maybe mental health, traumatic childhood, who knows.
I'd rather watch him than the latest cocky non-entity fishing the latest overpublicised water eg Linch, Welly, Snaggy pit etc.....doesn't mean I like him.

Not really a like for like comparison is it. How many fish has Chris Yates stolen? How many '"40's" has he lied about their weights? How many private venues has he broken in to to fish? How many times during lockdown did he travel 100 miles to bait up a strictly no fishing lake and then get sent home by the police? How many times has he bricked off a flooded ditch to catch an escapee? How many times has he been filled in by a kid? How many venues has he been banned from?

That makes him sound extremely motivated. I've never met jim but it's the same story year after year since the mid 90's. Few of you would have even met him, all third hand stories he's like the pantomime villain..
