And with regard to proof I agree. Much of science is unproven, but there is overwhelming evidence and acceptance of greater probability. Take for example any calculation that uses Pi as a factor. Pi as everyone knows is an approximate - an 'infinite' fraction. However, we accept and use it daily.

The CIA denied MK-ULTRA was a thing but now say it was something they were doing in the 1970s.
Area 51 was denied for decades and now they admit it is real.

Do all the rules apply here as to the carpy threads as im wondering just how quickly it will take me to get slung off.
It would appear we have another level of personal pi55 taker onboard.

Peoples perceptions of EVERYTHING are a direct consequence of what information they are being fed and with what regularity that information is repeated. Quite simple and there is no arguing that fact, because FACT is what it is. You will all, no, sorry, most of you will all believe the Yanks landed on the moon, especially the older among you, because of the basic fact that it was shoved down your throats for many years with continued regularity, with the same facts over and over again. This then becomes part of both your concious and your subconcious thinking. Repetition is THE number one means of delivering information and making it stick. So, whether you want to believe it or not, your brain has a really hard time accepting ANY new information to the contrary once it has been implanted into your brain. They then back up the narrative with constant pictures and moving images and scenes of joy so that it implants a happy memory in your brain, which is one we tend to want to believe more and hang on to. The pure fact that 99% of the rest of the world have been fed the same info, anyone that would dare to contest or question the validity of this joyful event gets labelled a nutter or trouble maker. It is a very simple yet very powerful and effective means by which to implant any amount of BULLS4itt.

so do you have a favourite specific theory?
Most people who have an inquiring mind about it will have seen a lot of the stuff about the Moon landing and the wider context of the 'space race' between the U.S. and the Soviets. I'm not being dismissive but it feels a long time ago and not hugely relevant to many these days - even if the wider idea of government secrecy will always be relevant.
Don't go out of your way to get slung off - there's no fun in that

The space landing was merely used as an example of just how far and long Governments are willing to keep lying. There are infinitely older and better examples, but this one was chosen purely at random. I completely concur that it was a "up your bum" moment and a big middle finger to the Ruskies. A somewhat pathetic ner ner ne ner ner moment that they had fabricated it for a big one up over the Russians.
Ken has already pointed out that after years of constant denial, eventually these things have a habit of being true some years later, or at least an admission of guilt by some involved. The very fact that the years have taken the sting and worldwide attention from these events, should not, detract away the facts that each and every government will lie, murder, starve and enslave their own people for their own political agenda and sheer outright greed.
Pick a subject from any of a number of worldwide events and we can go down that rabbit hole.

One thing that has stood out for me ref the moon landings is the official picture of earth. the earth appears in that picture to be the same size as the moon when looking at it from earth 🌎...... how is that possible if the earth is 4 times the size of the moon.......if you were on the Moon and took a picture of the earth it would be huge!!
