Had the 19's and just could not get on with them,like I say I have had a stupid amount in last few years.

Yeah I could do that at the risk of getting a divorce from the wife. Then there's the hassle of having to sell more stuff and trying to recover the original outlay. At the moment I've already got enough hassle of trying to sell 200 slot cars (don't ask 🤣

Besides, it's a personal choice and I don't want to get a load of cheap gear. In my experience when I first started carp fishing I bought cheap gear and most of it didn't last or wasn't fit for purpose. I was then lucky enough to replace it with decent gear (wasn't married with 3 kids back then 🤣 and the old saying is true, buy cheap, buy twice. I'd rather get quality gear like I had before (until some scumbag burgled my garage whilst I was on a night shift and took £11,000 worth of carp gear) as I don't intend to keep replacing stuff every couple of years just because the newest fashionable stuff is out.

The threadhas moved on since my last post ! I went to the tackle shop today and looked at both the cl4 and Aeros and can say there doesn't seem much between them , the aero is slightly lighter and personally more aesthetically pleasing, but was impressed with both !
Before I go and sell my 5000ts I have considered getting the slow oscillation upgrades and couple of others (carbon washers etc) on them to improve line lay and in turn assist in increasing casting distances, was just wondering if any one has had this done and can vouch the modifications do have a noticeable benefit ?

Each to their own, but I'd rather be out there in autumn with any gear I could get my hands on rather than not fishing while I save for flash gear.

If anyone's interested . There's an Austrian eBay shop offering 3 aero xtb's for £256 each plus £8 postage
7 day delivery .... almost what ci4's are going for . Id be tempted myself , but like others have ci4 xsc's. And there is very little between them . As all ready pointed out cosmetically they are maybe a touch aesthetically pleasing and a shade lighter.

I've thought about using TFT as I've noticed that the stuff they sell on eBay is always cheaper than if I search for the same item on their website. Does anyone know why that is?

They do a flash deal on a Friday . I had a few bits in my basket I was going to pay on the Saturday because I was waiting for payment on something I sold . When I went to cash out my eBay basket the stuff was back to normal price. I contacted them and they said they couldn't honour it so , emptied the basket and didn't buy it in the end .... 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️ I won't bother again

Low prices, cr*p service. Fine if everything goes smoothly, but if you have any issues they are fairly painful. Not sure why they bother having a phone number because it does not get answered. Ever.

I couldn't find a number for them. They've been pretty good in the past .... but I just think these flash sales are a bit of a gimmick. Not sure why if you can offer something for a price one day you can't do the next

Yea, looks like they have now removed it in favour of a WhatsApp. S*d that, I'd only ever buy from a shop where you can actually speak to them. Better still go in! It's still The Tackle Box for me.

Unpopular opinion ! Is there a way of actually slowing the drag down on the ci4 xtc 5500s? I love the reels and the way they perform but I must admit I do think the quick drag is a bit to quick, would like to slow it down a bit.

I'd like to know this too but for the Power Aeros XTB as i've seen that the drag on this is only 1/4 turn which imho is a deal breaker. 1/2 turn or one full turn even better.
