Yep TF Gear 10ft compact commercial 2.5lb cracking rods for the money joy to use I have 3 of them myself. Seems like TF Gear have now discontinued them looking at their website.

I have been championing these rods for ages. TFG 10ft compact carp 2.5lb.
Such a joy to see them fold over when a big fish surges away in the margins and you have a little smile to yourself knowing your hookhold is as safe as can be

having brought some 90's spec Daiwa Powermesh 2.25lb 11ft a decent low TC blank is soo enjoyable
shame not more mainstream

Don't worry about short rods, worry more about a soft action and fairly low test curve - barbel rods are your kiddy

Capable.
They feel forgiving but the middle and into the butt section has some steel so they never feels floppy.
Im only casting 2-3oz leads and small mesh bags, occasionally lobbing solid bags but can't do a serious cast with large solids.
I usually fish 5-50 yards but can manage about 75yds, and this is with 15lb mino, so 12lb would help a bit if needed.

They sound great - I'm currently specc'ing an 11ft soft rod set up (have had 10ft GT4 and ci4 5500s in the past which were great, but I sold them them to buy long range kit).
Do you happen to know which single handles are the ones that fit the Super Baitrunners please? I was wondering if the ones from the medium baitrunner XTA might fit?
Either that or go for the new Aero baitrunner X 8000s.... decisions, decisions!
