The torys and the media over the past couple of decades have managed to convince most people at one time or another that immigrants, muslims, the EU, and now, most ironically of all the metropolitan elite (WFT that is) are the enemy.
When I talk about media, I mean principally, the daily mail, the express, the sun, the telegraph, the spectator, latterly GB news.
One the left I can only really think of the economist, the guardian and the mirror.

Yes many newspapers have left and right biases and I would categorise the ones you mention the same way.
When it comes to tv channels I'd say many (not all) have left leanings, not necessarily their news programmes but their documentaries and even some of their comedy shows.
Just my thoughts, I'm not an expert

It's a shame, even places like Slovenia and Poland now statistically have a better standard of living than the UK, largely because their respective Governments haven't destroyed pretty much everything over the last decade.
