I'm not fed up of it... only money we got to improve the environment was forced on us by the EU. UK government never supplemented it like other countries.
That's the scariest thing going forward, the EU forced us to do good by the environment..some has been written in to UK law initially, to be changed at a later date, a lot hasn't.
I was just asking for a friend who isn't a hardcore patriot but doesn't like the EU.

I've no idea why it is, but it often seems that anyone who shows compassion or sympathy, anyone who puts themselves out for the sake of others, anyone who doesn't put themselves and their own interests first, is derided as 'woke', a 'social justice warrior' or a 'do gooder' these days in the UK. Therefore, going off to fight to liberate a load of foreigners would, nowadays, be seen as laughable by a large section of society.
In my book it's just decent behaviour, and anyone who uses 'do-gooder' as an insult needs to take a look at themselves.

You wouldn't say that if it was your child who was forced to go to war to defend our country against a dictator who wanted to rule the world would you?
Not to mention the millions and millions of innocent people that got killed as a consequence of the dictator
You are right about one thing though, if we had to do it all over again their would be loads in our country that would refuse to go to war because it was against their religious believes or they just like the peace, in the bubble they live in. I can see it now, nice old Mr. Hitler knocking on their door. The social justice warrior or would they be classed as cowards? They used to shoot deserters in the war
Now that's whats wrong for me, if your part of the country you should be prepared to fight for the country. Otherwise your not really part of the country are you? Like a lot of people on here and in our society who like to try and just pick the bits they like and resent anything else they dont

Oh, so fighting to stop a regime taking over the world isn't about people being able to live freely and not being persecuted and killed for their beliefs and nationalities. You know, having the equal ability to not be ruled by Hitler and to be free.
Guess if you ask a question you only want one person to answer then probably don't put it on a public forum
