I guess you can't just nick a pva bag on the hook and lob it out

I've been away, but OMC have put another video of a young lad playing a fish caught on the twig, and yet again, the springer release has not activated, so what is the point of having more rigid plastic on your rig?

And that's with a 4.5 lead I guess. Which is way more than I ever use.

Hintlesham Fisheries have tested it and allowing it on their water.

He pur post up about a new video and a 2.5oz lead can be used

why would a fishery use the words "great addition to any tackle box" like they have done????....that's been scripted for them imo ....wouldn't the fishery just say its safe or not and not a big sales pitch to go with it

Sound scripted , sounds a compromised quote 🤔 .
I asked on one post , as it's got a quick clip one end can you join 2 toghter for double the bang . Said in jest , but without doubt someone will try it , someone will put a hook strait on it Ronnie style , someone will use it choddy style , someone will crack off , someone will cast it up a tree , good luck to fishery owners with that .

What happens if like me some waters are not deep in certain areas, you can see the swans knecking for food what happens if the it's that sensitive it can hook bird life

take away the arguement of fish getting tethered towing them arms through weed in the event of a crack off/being snapped, from what I've seen the fish are hooked way before this device goes off,for it to go off it needs resistance to activate the spring.....the only way you get resistance is if the hooks in,penetrated and the fish moving away, the lightest is 4 5 oz of pressure and a carp sucking a bait in wouldn't create that much pressure.
also what if your fishing a pop up rig,the bait suspended off the bottom on a ronnie, shr or a multi rig means the bait wouldn't have no resistance against the twigg, yet again the fish would have to be hooked and already pulled against the weight of the lead or in this age the twigg......
so not only is it dangerous in the case of a crack off /being snapped but its pointless.

So is it the device tangling in the net is less of an issue, the bigger issue is that the device will likely pull hooks THROUGH lips of hooked fish leaving the point exposed to snag in the net once landed and cause damage.
If the fish is hooked well and then the device triggers it'll pull the hook through the lip surely?

No more than you pulling on the other end with a rod?
Someone else said it further down, that it takes more pressure to release than what it can exert.

You should be moving your baited hooks from the areas if swans are feeding on them. Hugely irresponsible to leave them

the safety aspects aside, for this to be triggered it need resistance, only way it gets resistance is from a fish being hooked already.. the device then goes off, but why is this required??? the fish is already hooked....the device pulls inwards as the fish is swimming away...I don't think any type of spring in that small capacity under water would be enough to damage a fish.. but the whole things unnecessary as the fish is already hooked...the bungee affect may help stop lead bounce if your lucky....the safety aspects alone are a good enough reason not to use this, but now the hooking features are next to pointless as the fish need to be hooked to trigger the mechanism

The arms will snag in the net after netting the fish. Apparently according to a post I saw where the rig had been tested they had no problems if the device was allowed to drop into the bottom of the net and the fish was unhooked in the net in the water. The desperate *****s that buy these won't do that though. No way. It's appallingly designed and desperate.
