Regarding drying the hook baits out and reusing them. 100% you can do that. It's best to mesh them if you go down this route. When we first started, an angler went to Abbey lakes in France with two friends. He had just 15 or 16 x S2 cork balls. He caught loads on the first night while his pals blanked. They ended up using those 15 hook baits between all three anglers. They caught over 70 big carp between them in a long weekend. Re dried those S2 over & over again until they fell to bits.
This time of year we are rolling so much GPB1 & GPB2 every single day.
We get so many messages from brand new customers these days questioning if the colour of their hook baits is correct after purchasing for the first time. The curing process which the baits go through leaves a stain on the outside of all of the baits. The whites will look like a dirty off white in the tub, the pinks look a darker shade of pink than they actually are. This is all only visual in the tub. It's only very temporary. Once in the water, this stain will come off within thirty minutes. You will be left with a bright white, or a washed out pink with zero stain on the outside whatsoever. On the left in the photos below are the true colours of the hook baits having just been rolled. On the right are what you see inside the tub when you purchase them after having been through our process a number of times.
This is also true of our original brown S2 & our GPB1. Both come very dark in the tub. Both wash out to a very much lighter shade in the water very rapidly. They actually become super visual on the bottom.... Even if they may not look that way in the tub when you purchase them.

I have customers who have used them for more than a decade... When they appeared on the Johnson Ross website as S2 Fizz (nut), they asked me for some nut S2. I had to explain to him that the S2 he has used for donkeys years are all nut based. He's appeared on our socials more than anyone, so if he don't know, most likely do not. The S2 has been a nut bait for twenty five years. Long before nut based baits were ever fashionable.
All of our hook baits are 100% food & cork. No pop up mix, no ultra light powders that pop up well, but are actually not very attractive to carp in reality.

Forum member Wayne. 72lb+, 62lb+, 61lb+ with commons of 53lb & 48lb. These were the best of a recent French trip. In two trips over the space of the last year he has caught all of the 60+ fish in the venue now.... Including the biggest fish in the lake on both trips. He's gotta go elsewhere next year now. Nice problems to have. Well done Wayne.

So on that basis, my own personal preference are Baitworks Atlantic Heat and/or Royal Marine. Trent Baits Freshwater Shrimp, another I would recommend, but in all honesty there are loads of fishmeals to choose from.

I have used it with Dna the Bug and Slk . Both are a dark colour and have worked well. To be honest It works well with any boilie as it has its own attraction with its unique smell. 👍

Well 1st time using gpb2 on my toughish syndicate 4 fish to 32 and lost 2 to hook pulls best weekends fishing for a while and only one other angler had 1 fish all weekend . I did a test 1st night 1 on gpb2 other 2 rods on my normal bait all fishing in a line on a clear ish area and long behold the gpb2 ripped off so switched all rods to them weather it was luck or the bait ive loads of confidence in them now
