Alf Garnett was a comedy character, not a documentary.
I feel I'm going to disappoint you no end - you might even end up selling your tour tickets on ebay - but Joe Lycett isn't really 'very right wing'.

The writer and the actor both spoke about their disgust toward the character and what he stood for. He was set up as a figure of ridicule not a role model.
Unfortunately too many people couldn't see past the fact he was 'just like me' .... they probably believed Johnson's lies too....

Mitchell was a famous left wing Liberal intellectual, spurs supporter Jewish family though atheist himself.
Speight himself was a campaigning socialist.
Most.knew the joke was ON Alf.
But there is a history of this sort of thing going right over some people heads. And the lampooned character being picked up as a hero.
An example.is Harry Enfields Loads of.Money. he was appalled.and dropped the character.
Though personally I'm not entirely convinced that these writers are against getting laughs from both sides.
Gervais has made a whole career out-of it..

It's an estimate for the average household, and higher users will pay more. £2,500 is probably near to double what most already pay.
Unknown what happens after a) 2 years for households and b) 6 months for businesses.
You, me, our kids and grandkids will be paying off the £100bn+ she's borrowing to maintain disgusting energy company profits for a long, long time.
