About the Sonik; this looks interesting! Does the main bag itself dry quicker because of the bottom vent? Or does the water leak out quickly but the inside of the main (unventilated) bag stays moist long?

It kinda depends how you air it !!!. The waters I fish have compulsory dip tanks so before hitting my swim both my net and sling are dipped ( obviously same for mat ) as I'm unpacking the motor and loading up the barrow I let any excess water / disinfectant drip off my next / sling etc. Finally I slide them back into the stink bag seal it and make my way to my chosen swim. Never get any leaks on any of my other gear. Normally the last thing I do after getting out my rods and the house up. Is open both ends of the stink bag and using the clip link the top and bottom together and secure this on a barrow arm. This allows for a good amount of air circulation during my session. I do the same open up both the top and the mesh section when I get home whilst leaving my net and sling in the sleeve and hang it up in an outbuilding again this allows for airing until the time I'm ready to go out blanking or hauling again.

Good to know. Thanks for the great explanation. I got mine in already. I had already bought a fox Carpmaster welded stink sleeve too, but that's going back.

Mine arrived yesterday, the materials thinner than the Trakker. At 1st I didn't know whether to put the mesh inside and roll up, or roll it up on the outside, so watched a vid that shows it on the inside. It's about 40mm wider then the trakker so fits my sling and net side by side, rather than rolled together making it thinner , but being wider it doesn't fit in the outer pocket of my quiver.
Out for 1st use today, hopefully I'll catch a fish to test it

I've had the Avid Net & Sling Stink Bag for 5 years now and can't say anything bad about it.

JP, can I ask where you found that video? Can't find no video on this bag?
I compared it to the Fox Carpmaster stink sleeve and it's the same thickness. I also had a Trakker one in the past (older one just for a landing net) and this Sonik is just as thick as that one.

Thanks for the reply mate! If I remember correctly, I folded it 3 times and I think that is enough for not leaking.
