I got one of these cheapo things off ebay, sticks in a power bank, feed it little tablets of mossie repellant.
It's a tenner with 30 tabs. I wondered if you can resquirt the used tabs with a bit of incognito.

I've got the little LifeSystems equivalent. That takes the small pads in the top as well, that has been superb for me. I always take it abroad with me now too. I used to get chewed sitting on the balcony at our apartment in the evening, by both mosquitoes & midges. I've never been bit while I've had that with me.

I'm another that gets eaten alive. The gits love me & always have. Stupidly so.

Or go old school...
I used to have another tea light candle lantern, so much better than the upright candle holders, but the glass broke on it.
The uco micro folds down into its body and protects the glass, a lovely bit of kit.

Can anyone please recommend the best use of this, as in how many pads do you use, what setting is best in different scenarios, inside bivvy, under brolly etc, how long are the pads actually effective for etc etc?

I use 2 pads, but have used one in the past without a huge difference.

Green setting inside bivvy, Red setting if outside.

They last somewhere around 6-7hours at a guess.

Is that the little battery operated one? The discontinued it ages back and i gave up looking for refils which was a shame.

Does exactly what the expensive ones do.
It's cheap because it has no internal power source. Connect to a power bank, minimal drain.

Even cheaper from ali, £1.83, or £2.25 with 30 tabs.
