Yes, I had forgotten about them, even though I own some not used on the lake I'm currently fushing

I fished a silty lake in France and had the plugging problem
Easy way to sort it
Let it sink into the silt and then just lift the rod until you feel it unplug.its like unhooking a cork on a bottle of wine
There's resistance and then there isn't.
You may move it an inch or so but is it that critical
