Another vote for the Vulcan. I considered the Actor and the lake reaper before settling on the Vulcan. Key deciding factors for me were the fact the boat and handset are waterproof, and that the hopper was a decent size. The top loading was a nice feature to have too

Picked up an Actor mk4i Compass for £150 off FBM (albeit in daft realtree camo). . .excellent little boats for canals / smaller waters etc. Limited presentation options with the small hoppers but cost / weight / size and ease of use more than makes up for this . .

Definitely, I'm well happy with mine plus got a deeper pro attached to it that makes it a nice little combo

Yep, have to say that i got one for a couple of smaller european lakes i fish. I haven't used it massively but when i have it's been fantastic and has allowed me to fish spots I just wouldn't have been able to otherwise. I have coupled it with a deeper and extender, changed the plastic props to some metal ones etc. 2 x 10ah batteries last a week easily. My lad has owned one for several years and I got one on his recommendation, he lives in France and has used it extensively on a variety of waters - big and small. It has never leaked at all and has only gone AWOL a couple of times. Considering he has been using one of these boats for about 5 years now, in quite demanding situations, it has been the bargain of the century. I think he paid £180 when he got it and only got the 5ah battery although he may have got the larger 10ah battery now - can't actually remember. Regardless, it has been an exceptionally reliable piece of kit for him and especially considering the price point. Dismiss this boat at your peril.
