Block in a vice, heat gun to soften the epoxy and apply some force!!!
Then get a suitable (less bulky) replacement, probably from custom angling solutions, who make a selection of blocks, and bond in place
But that makes it non-original, so I may leave as is, and just get better fitting arms

thanks for all the advice ive seen some gardener outreach arms that are carbon and have stainless end sleeves with diameter of 12.5mmso block will need drillimg out,
any thoughts on the gardener arms? quality? etc

yeah,the pole must be 30years old.forgotten i had it until i turned out the shed.it came from Drum Sports in Newton Abbott and they closed in the 90s!
its such a quality pole i really want to utilise it
