Small update.

Just spent the last hour doing some rudimentary testing at home...

Testing involved my Digital RH scales, lengths of jel-e-wyre hook link, plus some items of known weight...you get the idea, all highly scientific!

Conclusion - it's rubbish, and I've already binned it. It's breaking way way before 25lb.

In my testing it snaps at circa 13-15lb. Almost like they've labeled it wrong (they do sell a 15lb variant)

I thought it was a bit odd earlier before I tested it that I was snapping it with two puller tools, when attempting to construct boom sections for the upcoming weekend.

If you buy any - test it first.

Should have spent the £15 in the local!

Email them or take it back to the shop
Could be a faulty spool
£15 is £15

I'll drop them an email and see if they want it back... Although it's not like there's a batch number etc on it.

Agreed, but then they may have had a few back and want to know how many more are out there.
And above all else
why let anyone get away with taking your money for not fit for purpose goods.
